  14. This memo describes two encapsulations methods for carrying network
  15. interconnect traffic over ATM AAL5.  The first method allows
  16. multiplexing of multiple protocols over a single ATM virtual circuit
  17. whereas the second method assumes that each protocol is carried over a
  18. separate ATM virtual circuit.
  19.  
  20. This is a Proposed Standard Protocol.
  21.  
  22. This RFC specifies an IAB standards track protocol for the Internet
  23. community, and requests discussion and suggestions for improvements.
  24. Please refer to the current edition of the "IAB Official Protocol
  25. Standards" for the standardization state and status of this protocol.
